El secreto de Muhammad Alí

The Secret of Muhammad Ali

Today we are going to talk about the case of Muhammad Ali, considered by many the greatest boxer of all time "The Goat".
Ali realized the power of building a good self-image and used it to his advantage. The rest is history.
While for many he was a braggart, Ali used self-affirmations to gain confidence. It was the repetition of affirmations that led him to believe. And when belief transforms into a deep conviction, things begin to happen.
“I had to convince myself that I was the best before I could convince the world.” - Muhammad Ali.

Ali was not the most physically or technically talented boxer, but mentally he was unrivalled. He managed to create an invincible self-image of himself. The confidence he exuded when speaking made his rivals feel insignificant and made them believe they had no chance of winning before stepping into the ring.

From this boxing legend, we can extract lessons on how to forge a good self-image and gain confidence.

Set realistic and timely goals (short, medium, and long term). And work hard to achieve them; having a good work ethic is essential to deeply believe in yourself.

“What keeps me going are the goals I set.” - Muhammad Ali.

Step out of your comfort zone. That which is new and to which we are not accustomed produces fear and generates pressure. Facing these situations despite the pressure or fear is what makes us grow.

“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.” - Muhammad Ali.

If you don't believe in your worth and the work you've put in to get where you want to be, no one else will do it for you.
